STANDARD TYPE OF CZECH PROGRAMMER'S KEYBOARD
============================================

Purpose of this Document
------------------------

This document serves as type specification of a Czech keyboard that should be
one of the Czech keyboards available to all programs supporting a Czech
keyboard and running under free software operating systems.


Basic Key Layout
----------------

- The keyboard has the same layout as the US QWERTY one but the differences
  described in the following lines.
- Keys 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, and 0 generate characters ì,¹,è,ø,¾,ý,á,í, and é.
- The keyboard has a dead key. This dead key is the `+' key.
- The `1' key generates the `+' character.
- The numeric keypad keys have their original meaning.

Dead Key
--------

- The `+' key is the dead key.
- If you press the dead key once and then you press one of the following:
  1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0,e,r,t,y,u,i,o,a,s,d,l,z,c, or n, then the character
  1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0,é,ø,»,ý,ú,í,ó,á,¹,ï,å,¾,è, or ò would be generated.
- If you press the dead key twice and then you press one of the following:
  e,r,u,o,a,s, or l, then the character ì,à,ù,ö,ä,ß, or µ would be generated.
- If you press the dead key three times and then you press one of the following:
  u, or o, then the character ü, or ô would be generated.
- The dead key combinations that weren't undefined in the above lines
  should remain vacant in case of adding some other characters.
