CVSWEB a Permission denied

Mam nasledujici problem: nainstaloval jsem na stable debianu cvsweb a 
vsechno chodi jen kdyz otevru soubor a pak kliknu na download tak se 
otevre okno s nasledujicim textem:

Error: Unexpected output from cvs co: cvs checkout: Sorry, you don't 
have read/write access to the history file cvs [checkout aborted]: 
/var/pack/cvs/CVSROOT/history: Permission denied

Check whether the directory /var/pack/cvs/CVSROOT exists and the script 
has write-access to the CVSROOT/history file if it exists.
The script needs to place lock files in the directory the file is in as 
well.

Z toho je celkem jasne co se mu nelibi, jenze co mi neni jasne je, ze i 
kdyz zmenim ownera na www-data a to jak adresare CVSROOT tak souboru 
history tak je vse pri starem a porad hlasi tuhle hlasku. Spousti se ten 
script pod uzivatelem www-data, ne? Prosel jsem uz ruzne konference, ale 
nemuzu najit cim by to jeste mohlo byt. Jak casto lide v konferencich 
rikaji: potrebuju nakopnout...
