ethereal pod uzivatelem

Dobrý den, mám dotaz ohledně spouštění Ethereal pod normálním 
uživatelem. Standardne lze pustit Ethereal jen po rootem (pod nim ale 
nemuzu a nechci spoustet nic v X), Nastavil sem suid bit, avšak niní 
nespustim Ethereal protoze se spoušti s rootovskymi pravy a ten nemuze v 
X nic spustit.

   Nedalo by se nastaveni uid bitu nejak obejit, čí nastavit nějak 
prava sitove karty?? Nema nekdo nejaky typ nebo zkusenosti??
Chci raději použít ethereal nez tethereal.

Compiled with GTK+ 2.6.8, with GLib 2.6.6, with libpcap 0.9.3, with libz 
1.2.3,
with libpcre 5.0, without UCD-SNMP or Net-SNMP, with ADNS.

Running with libpcap version 0.9.3 on Linux 2.6.12.3.
